Colour and Font

Colour and font are important in creating a magazine as differnt colours have differnt meanings are effects on people. Warm and cool colours are used to create an effect on the reader, cool colours are more calming and relaxing whereas warm colours are passionate and loud. Lots of magazines use red as background colours to bring out the foreground.

Fonts are what desingers use to reach out their target audience but also to make their magazine mastheads stand out on the cover and on the shelf. Differnt magazine types have differnt use for font, fashion magazines want to look elegant, timeless and luxurious, male magazines mix up thier titles to give it an edgy appeal. For music magazines it is used to convey thier music genre and target audience.
